I doodled 3 neat pictures while Ms. Kolb reviewed the basic MLA style formatting. (I'm going to feel incredibly stupid if I mess that up on one of my papers, after just admitting I wasn't paying much attention.)
I got my book from Camie (!!) and tried to quickly catch up on our reading assignment while Ms. Kolb took roll.
I loved the fact that Ms.Kolb had gone "quote happy" and put so many thought provoking quotes on the power point. I also very much enjoyed her sample essay, about how we ought to use global warming as a tourism opportunity. Nice one. . .

Learned: to read in an active, not passive way. You often hear that in regards to writing, but never reading. Good insight!

Hurrah for doodles! I did a drawing on one of my exams once when I finished early and the teacher tore off that part of the page to keep.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I came across this blog somewhat accidentally while trying to go to your other blog from the Riefers' by clicking on your picture among the 'Followers of this blog' section. Anyway, "I feel it is my bounden duty to inform you that your proceedings here will not be unwitnessed..." ....I've already got Pirates quotes stuck in my head! lol.
And it is my "bounden duty" to correct your spelling :) The word "role" as you used it, should be spelled r-o-l-l, as I assume you are referring to the following definition: a list, register, or catalog, esp. one containing the names of the persons belonging to a company, class, society, etc.
